  • We had a great meal here, with a good selection of sashimi, tempura and local dishes. Efficient and friendly service, and good value for money too.

  • We came to Yoshihisa based on some research we did as we wanted to try kaga ryori. The food was good: we recommend the local Kanazawa course which also includes jibuni. The table we were sitting at had a button we could press any time we wanted to be served, for example to order food - something we haven't found anywhere else and particularly enjoyed.

  • This is one is a gem. It has the vibes of a high end restaurant but at a mid range price. One of the better restaurant experiences on our trip around Japan. We came across this restaurant looking for jibu-ni and we were not disappointed! From the outset we were greeted warmly by a manager/owner who went out of his way to really bridge the language divide. We came to this lovely establishment for the jibu-ni. We asked for the set meal at a cost of ¥3,800 pp. The entire experience was fantastic. The ingredients were high quality, the dishes were expertly prepared, the ambience was lovely, the service was lovely, the price point for what we got was outstanding. Highly recommended.

  • In looking for a spot to try the local duck stew (jibuni), we came across this unassuming restaurant, and so glad we did! We tried the Yoshihisa Gozen set meal (¥3800) that included tempura, sashimi, grilled fish, kaga vegetables, rice, miso soup and pickled vegetables. Everything was delicious and felt delicately paired, but found the grilled fish to be on the saltier side. Separately ordered the jibuni (¥1650). It was smaller than I had expected. But really enjoyed it, the stew was light but very flavourful. Service was super friendly, our waitress was able to communicate in English and explained each dish to us. We went on a weeknight around dinner time, and there was no lineup. Highly recommend checking out this spot, especially if you're looking to try jibuni!

  • Best sashimi I’ve ever had in my life. Nothing compares. Our friends who live in Osaka travel all the way to Kanazawa just to eat here. Hands down, the best. Everything was amazing, even their onigiri. It’s fine dining without the price tag.

  • They provide excellent value lunch sets. The daily special lunch set is the best choice. if you are a tourist only has short time stay in Kanazawa like I did, I recommend you come here rather than eating at restaurants in train station or department store. Also the waitress is nice and can speaker English.
